The NoDa neighborhood is thrilled to be the new home of the one and only low-waste store in Charlotte: Rooted Rethinkery.
Founded and run by Stephanie Woody, this cheerful little shop can be found in the front window of the Ink Floyd building at 1101 E. 36th St., recently relocated from Camp North End. Rooted Rethinkery has everything necessary to cut down on single-use plastic, with high quality reusable and refillable items. Think of it as a life-hack store, but one that helps the earth as well as the customers.
Whether you are looking for cute shopping bags, to refill lotion bottles, or to get ingredients to make your own deodorant, this shop caters to folks at all levels of their low-waste journey. Also, Stephanie is a wealth of knowledge on the subject and can provide some pointers as well as a jar to fill up if you’ve forgotten yours.
The store is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, so stop by and welcome Stephanie to the neighborhood. To learn more about her inspiration and journey to starting Rooted Rethinkery, check out the website at rootedrethinkery.com.
