Bloom is Back to Bring Fringe Dance and Performance Arts

Dance, fire, circus arts, and more at this year’s Bloom: Return to Roots

Satarah Productions is excited to announce that its annual cultural festival Bloom will be back for its seventh year. Performance artists from across the United States and Canada will once again come together with local performers to share their art and passion with the Charlotte community. As in the past, Bloom will feature over 100 performers, including dancers, aerialists, sideshow acts, fire artists, contortionists, burlesque performers, and more.

In addition to performances, these artists will provide hands-on immersive workshops to introduce participants of all ability levels to new and exciting ways to explore their creativity.

“One of our goals has been to encourage people to get into the arts and get into performance without feeling like they have to be at a certain level to get there,” said Bloom co-founder Satya. “I have people come up to me all the time that say that they … didn’t realize that that was even possible or saw someone performing that hasn’t been doing it for very long.”

The show also evokes a safe sense of inclusivity for both performers and event attendants to connect with themselves, each other, and the performances.

“One of the most important things about Bloom is the community that the show creates,” Satya says. “People can come in and feel the support and love that everyone there has for one another, even people they don’t know.  The community is able to be felt immediately.”

Bloom will also feature a local artisan market, a variety of food options from local food trucks, and a full bar with a selection of wine and regional beer.

The festival will be on Friday, July 26, and on Saturday, July 27, at Charlotte’s newest arts and music venue, The Amphitheater at Station House, located at 4100 Raleigh St. next to the Sugar Creek light rail stop. Family-friendly performances will be featured on Saturday, July 27, from 12:30 to 6pm, with adults-only performances starting after 6:30pm on both days. The family friendly show will delight and inspire an audience of all ages with a whimsical showcase of acrobatics, dance, and more.  The adult-only performances will feature burlesque and more mature themes not appropriate for children.  Bloom has VIP passes available for $85 each day. Each VIP pass includes a Bloom shirt, a glass of champagne, a Bloom water bottle, and a reserved seat in the front of the audience.

Tickets for both the shows and the workshops can be purchased through the website.
