Trending in NoDa

Guidelines for Submitting a Trending Topic:

  • You must be a dues-paying entity of the NoDa NBA in order to submit trending topics (exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis). Pay Dues/Donate if you have not yet done so.
  • Limit trending submissions to 4 per month. 
  • Documents such as press releases can be included when trending topics are submitted.
  • Trending topics are subject to approval. Submissions will be approved ASAP.

Why is there a Stella Artois mural in NoDa?

Last week, NoDa saw the addition of four new murals to two different buildings on North Davidson Street. Three can be found on the Solstice Tavern walls, and another can be found on the wall at 35th and North Davidson streets.

Brand the Moth, an artist collaborative coordinated by Sam Guzzie, brought together Nick Napoletano, Jonay Di Ragno and Brittani “Georgie” George to paint two sides of Solstice Tavern’s building at 3221 N. Davidson St. According to Georgie, 26, she was invited by Guzzie to be a part of a team of artists to create a visual mural for Solstice that was “full of life and color.” Read more!

First Look at Johnny Fly

Following a successful retail pop-up at Birkdale Village last winter, founder John Freeman knew the established five-year-old e-commerce brand was ready for an in-store buying experience.

Johnny Fly’s global footprint could have landed the first store just about anywhere. In fact, Freeman and his wife and business partner, Tara, say the brand has only started to gain steam in the U.S. in the last year. They saw earlier success in Europe and Asia and have offices in the Netherlands and Mexico to help fulfill orders. Now, there's a store front in NODA!
